Turkey recommended to property investors

Overseas property buyers in Britain have been encouraged to invest in the Turkish market.

According to the Telegraph, the country could be a good market to consider because it is highly popular among international holidaymakers.

The appeal of the country to people across the world means that holiday homes in the main Turkish tourist spots will be in high demand.

Therefore, major resorts are likely to present a number of potential opportunities for overseas property investors to earn money from rental returns.

In addition, the newspaper raised the possibility of a Turkish property appreciating in value if it was located in a highly sought-after area.

The Telegraph said: "Booming tourism and high capital growth mean buy-to-let in Turkey is worth considering."

This comes after Reuters cited figures from the Turkish Statistics Institute which showed that during the year to October 2007, visitor numbers in the country went up by more than a quarter.
