Turkey recommended to prospective expats

Turkey has been recommended as a good destination for people who want to live overseas.

Natalie Ozkesen moved from England to the Turkish town of Fethiye in 2001 after visiting the country on a two-week holiday with friends.

Speaking to the Yorkshire Post, she said she decided to relocate to there after falling "in love with the place" during her trip.

Ms Ozkesen commented: "The scenery was stunning, the people were really friendly and it just had this ambience."

She added that although her family was initially sceptical about her decision to leave thee UK, they soon followed after a few months and also decided to set up home in Turkey.

"My only regret is that I didn't leave earlier," Ms Ozkesen added.

The comments come after the Office for National Statistics revealed that more than 207,000 UK citizens chose to move abroad last year.
